Lets Start!
Follow the link in the update email. The link will take you to the downloads page of our website. You will find the password included in the email.
Enter the password for PowerPac Installation 7.x.0 to download the setup file.
// Before proceeding: Make sure PowerPac 7 is not running on your machine //
SINGLE COMPUTER INSTALLATION
- Run the PowerPac Setup
- Set destination location to the location where PowerPac 7 is already installed
- Select Single
- Set licence folder to the folder where the licence is already installed
- Choose to create a desktop icon
- Click Install
- Install Licence Service if using PC Licensing or untick for online licensing
Launch PowerPac should be ticked if you want to immediately run the software - Click Finish
SERVER INSTALLATIONS
- Run the PowerPac Setup
- Set destination location to the location where PowerPac 7 is already installed
- Select Server
- Set licence folder to the folder where the licence is already installed (this is the shared folder the workstations connect to)
- Choose to create a desktop icon (May not be necessary on the server)
- Click Install
- Install Licence Service if using PC Licensing or untick for online licensing
Launch PowerPac should be ticked if you want to immediately run the software - Click Finish
Once server install has finished all Workstations running PowerPac will need to be updated
WORKSTATION INSTALLATIONS
// Make Sure you have updated on the server before updating the workstations //
- Run the PowerPac Setup
- Set destination location to the location where PowerPac 7 is already installed
- Select Workstation
- Set licence folder to the folder where the licence is already installed (this will be a UNC path)
- Choose to create a desktop icon (If you want one)
- Click Install
- Launch PowerPac should be ticked
- Click Finish
Once you have installed the update, Click on the blue information button from the PowerPac Front Screen or Help | About from the top menu within a calculation
Check version number against directions given or email sent
