Maximum Demand Templates
With the release of AS3000:2000 came a whole new era in electrical design and challenge. With the previous AS3000 being mainly prescriptive work practices, most electrical installers could follow the book and they would be OK.
With the removal of many of these work practices it is now up to the designers and installers to be much more aware of the consequences of every design and installation.
Because design is now very much performance based and a lot more freedom has been given to the electrical professional, we have created the maximum demand templates in PowerPac. The templates allow the user to create their own diversity rules based on experience gained working in the industry.
All groups can be modified and saved as new templates. Due to the default templates being based on the standards they cannot be overwritten.
By clicking on the default button the calculation will revert back to relevant AS3000:2000 table for the installation.
Changing any of the template diversity factors all printouts will now specify that the calculation method has been based on user defined inputs and not AS3000:2000
