Move Espro to a New Server

This guide will walk you through moving Espro 7 and your Database to the new server

On the new Server:

1. Install the latest version of Espro 7 from our website http://spearhead.com.au/products/downloads/espro-downloads
   (PASSWORD PROVIDED SEPARATELY)

2. Make sure you install the Database, Licence Server and if applicable, the Updates Folder

On the Old Server:

1. Go to the Espro 7 Installation Directory

2. Locate and Run BackupRestoreWizard.exe

3. Click Next

4. Choose Backup and Click Next

5. Click Next at Locate Configuration File

6. Click Next at Database Configuration

7. Choose the location to save your Backup File and Click Next

8. The Wizard will create a backup of your Data

9. You will be presented with a Finished message.

10. Copy the .bak file you created to a location accessible from the new server (Shared drive or USB)

Back to the New Server:

1. Locate the .bak file from the Old Server and copy it to a local path

2. Go the the Espro installation directory (Default : C:\Espro7)

3. Locate and Run BackupRestoreWizard.exe

4. Click Next

5. Choose Restore and Click Next

6. Click Next at Locate Configuration File

7. Click TEST at Database Configuration (The Wizard may ask to create your Database, Click Yes)

8. Once the Database test is successful, click Next

9. Locate the .bak file and click Next

10. the Wizard will import the Database
