For updating PowerPac, follow the same steps as below but ensure that the install location is where PowerPac is currently installed to. This will install the update over the top, and will not affect your files and calculations.
This guide is for a Windows installation of PowerPac. For MacOS see here: Install or Update PowerPac from MySpearhead (Mac)
1. Open a new browser tab, and navigate to MySpearhead. Sign in to your account.
2. From the left hand menu bar, ensure you are on the Home tab of MySpearhead.
3. Click the download icon for PowerPac. Select the operating system from the pop-up, and the download will start.
4. Once the download is complete, run the installer.
5. Click Next, leave the install location as default, or click Browse to select a custom location. If you are updating your version of PowerPac, ensure this is set to the same location it is currently installed.
6. Click Next, ensure the drop-down box has Workstation selected.
7. Click Next, leave this as the default. If you changed the installation location for PowerPac in step 5, set this to the same location.
8. Click Next, leave this as default, or click Browse to change the location for the start menu folder and shortcut.
9. Click Next, tick the box if you want a desktop shortcut for PowerPac created.
10. An overview of the file locations the installation wizard will install PowerPac to, and the licensing folder will show up. Review and make sure they are correct, then click Install. The wizard will finish the installation process.
11. Click Finish. Tick the box to launch PowerPac immediately after the wizard closes, or launch it from the start menu or desktop shortcuts.
