New Additions

  • Added rebuild indexes for Admin users. This option will rebuild the SQL database indexes. This can assist in general and search performance.
  • Added progress window in Pricebook Update. There is now a progress bar showing the item update progress, where previously this would be a blank screen.
  • Added Part Number as a required field in Import Wizard. Previously a user could try and import into the Parts list without having this field populated. The system will now pop up a warning.

 

Fixes & Modifications

  • Fixed issue where Exclude/Include & Complete/Incomplete could be selected in a locked estimate.
  • Fixed issue with System Options when attempting to open a second window. Instead of throwing an error, it will now bring the open window to the front.
  • Fixed issue when applying Update Assemblies from Pricebook. Issue occurred when the part had been deleted and the assembly or pricebook item was linked to that part. This also stopped the user from manually making a change to the part link.
  • Modified Delete confirmation prompt so the cursor position defaults to the text box entry field.
  • Modified Estimate Section tree list collapsing after moving sections or copy/pasting. The view will now retain the same expanded sections.
  • Removed case sensitivity for email addresses when using the MySpearhead licensing method.
  • Removed Column Chooser options that were only used for internal purposes from the selection.

  • Added repair Pricebook function to fix sequencing. It was reported that on import of combined Pricebooks that some item sequences were not applied properly.

 

Fixes & Modifications

  • Fixed issue where opening an Assembly and adding child items from the Pricebook would throw an error and duplicate the new child item.
  • Fixed issue where copying Assemblies with itself or child items marked as Excluded would not apply the excluded flag on paste.
  • Fixed issue where opening some menu options on the Espro Quote version would throw a Null Reference error.
  • Fixed issue where a refresh was required to delete a child item from an opened Assembly window.
  • Fixed issue with Sequence when importing Pricebooks.

New Additions

  • Added connection to TraserCX. This will allow you to upload your supplier net prices directly to TraserCX. You can rank your suppliers in order of preference. Espro will map your parts to the TraserCX integration list. You can add parts, sync parts, and update pricing from TraserCX to Espro. When adding PriceBook or Assembly items to estimate, the library opens up immediately.
  • Added new field against parts "Date Effective". This is the date the part was last updated by the supplier. Last Updated or Last Edited will be triggered by imports or manual updates.
  • Added ability to set Supplier without Preferred item price.
  • Added ability to share Breakdown Library. Previously Estimate breakdowns had its own library, whereas item breakdown sections were manual. The breakdown library contains breakdown codes for both options.
  • Added Update Material price to Estimate update. This will allow the updating of material price from parts with no link to Pricebook. A feature for older versions of Espro.
  • Added validation Rollback. Previously when getting a validation error you would have to crash out of Espro. The rollback will allow you to acknowledge the error, do a refresh and then rollback
  • Added further options to Import Wizard:
      • Import into Labour library
      • Import into Cost Centre library
      • Import into External Tag library

 

Fixes & Modifications

  • Fixed issue in Export to External programs, where sections ended up out of order.
  • Fixed issue where codes could change in an Estimate if changed in their library. This was predominantly UOM, Cost Centres, Estimate Categories, etc. These are now uneditable in library if used in an Estimate.
  • Fixed issue with Bulk Update refreshing after being run on an Assembly child item list.
  • Fixed issue where setting a fixed Equipment or Subcontractor in a Pricebook item would not update the net total without a forced recalculation.
  • Improved loading performance of the "All Items" tab in Pricebook and Assembly libraries.

  • Improved performance across the board. Significant changes outlined below.
      • When adding Pricebook or Assembly items to an estimate, the library opens immediately.
      • Adding items will do full recalc of totals
      • Copy/Pasting Estimates, Estimate Sections, and Estimate items will do full recalc of totals
      • Opening Summary screen from Estimate
  • Added Clone Estimate Summary button that allows the user to create a copy of an Estimate Summary which keeps all Markups, Labour Allocations, and Indirect Labour.
  • Added full Estimate Recalculation button inside Estimates. This could only be done from the Estimate list previously.
  • Added a Reindex option to Tools Menu. Those who have Estimates with lots of items can now perform a reindex of their SQL to assist with performance.
  • Added option in Settings to turn off Estimate Breakdowns. This was a feature for older versions of Espro, and will remove the Breakdown Tab in Estimate and remove associated reports.
  • Added Red Warning in Labour Allocations if a negative allocation is added or Hours are over allocated.
  • Added ability to import into Assembly Library. Users can now build their assembly library from a spreadsheet or csv file.
  • Added Clear button to Labour Allocation drop down in Estimate Item list view.
  • Added XML Export to the new Estimate Section Library.
  • Added new estimate Takeoff price column to estimate List

NOTE: The changes to performance is significant, and some reports have been modified accordingly.

 

Fixes & Modifications

  • Increased frozen Labour markup decimal places for more precision.
  • Modified the Tools | Licence Authorisation status to show version licences.
  • Removed option to Exclude/Include and Move Up/Move Down from Root section
  • Fixed display issue in Total Hours field in Summary Labour Allocations. The field displayed as % instead of $.
  • Fixed issue where the Quantity Multiplier was not being carried across on subsections and section Copy/Paste.
  • Fixed estimate list totals refresh after exiting Estimate. This also caused Estimate XML export to not export correct totals until a list recalc was performed.
  • Fixed issue where pre-allocated labour wasn't being cleared in Assembly child items after copy / paste.
  • Fixed issue where Estimate list totals did not calculate when importing Estimate from XML

  • Added Estimate Section Library. You can now create a library for sections that are used in estimates. You can add these as you would an item to an estimate section.

  • Modified customisation to allow icons to be removed. You can remove any Icon from the Top Espro ribbon.
  • Restore ability to delete archived or locked Estimates. Note that the confirmation dialogue will still be required.
  • Set cursor to automatically default to text entry position.
  • Ability to clone templates has been restored.
  • Section Code character limit increased and some special character restrictions removed.
  • Fixed "Replace Part" button on single Estimate Item
  • Fixed Estimate Export where it was setting the Estimator as the Salesperson.
  • Fixed Estimate import/export where pre-allocated labour was not being correctly imported. This primarily happened where the labour allocation was not in the labour library of the Espro database where the import was used.
  • Fixed Import record counts to now include all items skipped over on import when "Create New Items" button is checked.
  • Fixed issue where default supplier could not be cleared in Import wizard.
  • Modified Import Wizard to remember file location when editing a saved Import.
  • Modified multiple options in the Import/Export wizard
  • Modified the import of complete "Combined Pricebook" over existing Pricebook. The import will now respect the current order of all sections and will move new imported sections and items to match.
  • Removed invalid Add/Edit buttons from Pricebook popup when adding items to estimate

  • Added option to "Check Out" Licence when using the MySpearhead licensing method. A checked out licence will be removed from available licences for that company, and will allow the user to run Espro where there is not internet coverage.
  • Added log for changes to submit/unsubmit as well as Status Changes
  • Made visible "Estimate Section Code" field. This allows the user to set a code for exporting to external programs. Note that this is a single code per section.

 

Fixes & Modifications

  • Gave the ability to change Status after submitting an estimate. Previously this was locked when an estimate was submitted, not allowing the user to change from in progress/submitted to won/lost.
  • Fixed Move Up/Move Down not enabling or disabling on Lock/Unlock of estimate.
  • Fixed refresh issue on labour when adding an assembly. Previously this would not always update when a refresh was called.

  • Fixed incorrect calculation when "Apply Hidden Costs" check box unselected against Section. The issue is created when this check box has been unselected and Indirect Labour has been used. Once unselected, only the estimate costs should be removed from the section calculation; however Indirect Labour was also removed.

Fixes & Modifications

  • Fixed calculation issue on previously submitted estimates. This occurred when there was unallocated labour in Summary "Allocated Hours" which doubled the unallocated hours. NOTE: For previously submitted estimates you may need to unsubmit and resubmit to refresh totals. The base cost for these estimates has not changed.
  • Fixed display issue on indirect labour where net$ displayed as $0. This was a display issue only and did not affect any results or reports.
  • Modified Estimate cost when weighting of labour is selected to be allocated to hours or dollars. Cost Quantity able to be tied to hours.
  • Modified some security permissions to see the pop-up window on section or estimate delete.

New Additions

  • Estimate costs can now be applied to Materials, Labour, Equipment, or Subcontractors. Weighting will still be proportionate to each section based on the chosen option. Each is proportional based on dollars except Labour, which is based on hours. Applying costs to Estimate Sections can be toggled on or off.
  • Submit Estimate Button. Rather than adding a submitted date, there is now a "Submit Estimate" button which will completely lock estimates from all changes except "Exclude Section". Submitted estimates will freeze all estimate prices in each section. UnSubmit will recalculate and re-weight all costs against sections. This rule will apply to all currently submitted estimates.
  • Estimate Price updating. When using update Estimate Items from Pricebook Espro will use Part number for materials. Parts will now be updated even if Pricebook Item number or Assembly Item number has been changed. Price will be sourced from the Parts list pricing.
  • Added option to have prompt for deleting Estimates and Estimate Sections. This is turned on by default, and can be turned off in Settings.
  • Added a warning if Hidden Estimate costs have no weighting to be distributed against.

NOTE: The changes to Estimate Costs are significant, and some reports have been modified accordingly.

 

Fixes & Modifications

  • Fixed display issue where Estimate Summary totals sum was displaying % instead of $
  • Fixed issue where an Estimate Assembly could be dragged or inserted into another Assembly. This then added the assembly as a child item leading to unpredictable results..
  • Improved performance when adding Estimate Markups
  • Renamed Base Estimate Cost from "$ / hour" to "Cost / hour". This stops the confusion on whether this was cost or sell.
  • Modified Import/Export wizard to allow for Estimate Section Headers.

  • Fixed Breakdown Captions display issue when renaming an Estimate Breakdown. The column display caption did not update until the estimate was re-opened.
  • Fixed issue where the Estimate lock and unlock options were available when software was unauthorised.
  • Fixed Estimate Labour Allocations sharing duplicate code
  • Fixed import / export item issue when importing into different Espro system which would change from an Item import to a Part import.
  • Fixed issue with Assemblies and fixed values. If the assembly had fixed Labour, Equipment, or Subcontractor, and the Assembly quantity was 0 or negative. Changed the behaviour of fixed items so if the quantity is 0 so is the fixed items. If the quantity is negative, the fixed items will also be negative.

  • Fixed Notes display in Estimate list view.
  • Fixed labour allocations not automatically being refreshed when closing the Estimate Item window after editing labour.
  • Fixed the Estimate Section list collapsing when pasting from another section. Any Estimate Section that was expanded will stay expanded on paste.
  • Fixed Estimate Section tab not auto refreshing when adding blank Estimate Item. This did not affect the Estimate Summary or Summary totals.
  • Modified import routine to ignore the Manufacturer Code. Previous import routine forced this field to have data. NOTE: Duplicate Parts will be ignored in the update.
  • Modified Combineds Pricebook to not take all Company details. This export was designed for all Pricebooks and Parts. It will take Manufacturer and Supplier details of parts but not Client details.

Fixes & Modifications

  • Fixed sequence issues on Copy/Paste in Estimate section. This would occur when selecting Estimate Items from the bottom up. When pasting this would reverse the original order of items to the selected order.
  • Fixed issue when Copy/Pasting the Estimate assembly header was highlighted on paste. Issue happened where an estimate assembly was included in the copy and an estimate assembly header was highlighted on paste. Individual estimate items and comments were pasted into the highlighted assembly whereas the estimate assembly was pasted at the bottom of the list
  • Fixed Copy/Paste exception error when trying to paste Estimate Item onto an Estimate Section.
  • Fixed Estimate Cost Type validation error popping up when adding Estimate Cost.
  • Fixed TRASER not bringing in UOM.
  • Fixed TRASER issue where only the first selection of items was brought in, and any further selections were ignored. This occurred in Parts, Pricebook, and Estimate.
  • Fixed XML export "Object not set to a reference error" when trying to export from Pricebook, Assemblies, and UOM Mapping.
  • Fixed Estimate List button issue where Clone to Estimate and Clone to Template selection was disabled.
  • Fixed reports displaying incorrect Labour Take-Off Hours. This was on the Top Sheet report, and displayed incorrect Hours and % Allocation. All dollar values were correct, and this was a display issue only.
  • Fixed intermittent issue with Drag and Drop in Estimates. On certain occasions the Tree List would collapse all sections.
  • Fixed intermittent error being thrown when adding Comment or blank item in Estimate.

      • Auto Calc for the Unit Rate totals.
      • Auto Calc for Assembly header if Rate has multi items.

  • Fixed issue where you could not drag and drop Estimate Items that had a Labour Allocation.
  • Fixed export issue where Favourite or Take-off check boxes were not attached to the Pricebook or Estimate items. Take-off is a new check box for use with Take-Off software.
  • Fixed issue where adding Pricebook Item to assembly using Item# added it as a Part.
  • Fixed Ctrl + Shift + M issue where erro was thrown.
  • Fixed issue where items lost link to Project Price when Cut & Pasted.
