Connection:
Enter the type of connection to be used in the calculation
- Three Phase
- Single Phase
- Two Phase + N
- Single Phase Centre Tapped
- Direct Current (DC Calculations)
Line Voltage:
Line voltage is the voltage between phases in a multi-phase system. or phase to neutral voltage in a single phase system.
Phase Voltage:
Phase Voltage is phase to earth voltage (Incoming Phase-Earth Voltage)
Fault Limiting Device:
Having the Fault Limiter box ticked, enables the Maximum Fault Limit (kA) field below it.
Maximum Fault Limit (kA):
The maximum fault current of the fault limiting device in kA
Inverter Settings. ![]()
Use the inverter button to enter details to simulate incoming supply from an Inverter. This will be used for calculating Voltage Rise and required Cable Capacity.
Rating:
Rating of the current supply in kVA
Current:
Resulting current from the inverter in amps (A)
Power Factor:
The power factor of the supply, entering a power factor of 1 is a unity supply
Allowed Growth Factor (%):
Percentage of the current supply to allow for future growth or expansion on this cable run. Entering 0 will calculate only the existing supply
Single Phase Inverter:
If checked, indicates this is a single phase inverter, even if the cable supply is 3 phase
